In 2023, NTEK achieved outstanding results in international laboratory proficiency testing programs organized by DRRR (Deutsche Referenzbüro für Ringversuche und Referenzmaterialien GmbH, Germany), including RVEP 230260 odour test (VDA 270), RVEP 230263 Thermal desorption analysis (VDA 278), RVEP 230265 Fogging behaviour (method B) (DIN 75201), and RVEP 230262 Total carbon emission (VDA 277). **Excellent performance**, the highest evaluation grade, was obtained for all four test items.

People spend long periods inside vehicle cabins. Toxic and harmful gases may be introduced into rubber plastic components and leather materials during raw material production and forming processes. Therefore, interior parts require multiple inspections to identify potential health risks to consumers, which highlights the critical importance of testing competence for automotive interior components.

The parameters of this proficiency testing covered odour, total carbon emission, fogging and VOC tests. All tests were completed by NTEK Shenzhen Central Laboratory. Upon receipt of proficiency test samples, laboratory personnel followed work instructions to verify equipment performance and reference materials, studied relevant test standards, simulated every operational step of testing, evaluated measurement uncertainty, and minimized interfering influencing factors. With scientific and standardized testing practices, test results were submitted within the required timeframe and achieved positive evaluation on the first attempt. This milestone demonstrates that NTEK Shenzhen Central Laboratory has reached world class technical competence in automotive interior part testing.
